Annie Machon
Annie Machon served for 6 years as an intelligence officer for MI5, the UK Security Service, before resigning in 1996 to blow the whistle on the spies' incompetence and crimes with her ex-partner and colleague, David Shayler.
They exposed illegal phone taps, files on top UK politicians, IRA bombings that could and should have been prevented, the wrongful conviction of two innocent Palestinians and the illegal MI6 plot to assassinate Colonel Gaddafi of Libya in 1996, that went wrong and killed innocent people.
Machon read Classics at Cambridge University and then began a career in publishing. In 1991 she was recruited by MI5 where she was posted to their political and counter-terrorism departments.
To date, she is an author, media pundit, campaigner, and prominent public speaker on a variety of issues: security and intelligence, the war on terror, civil liberties, press and media freedoms, secrecy legislation and government accountability.
Statement:
9/11 has led to the unending “war on terror”, illegal wars and the deaths of hundreds of thousands if not millions in the Middle East, the wholesale erosion of our traditional freedoms, and the terrible plight of the first responders.
Yet there is a vast amount of evidence from credible experts that contradicts the official account.
We urgently need a new, independent enquiry into the tragic events of that day.
Bill Christison
Bio:
Bill Christison worked for the CIA for over 28 years, from 1950 to 1979. He was an analyst on Soviet affairs early in his career, and later served in both Germany and Vietnam. In the 1970s, he served as a National Intelligence Officer (principal advisor to the Director of Central Intelligence) for Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Africa. In his final position, he was the Director of the CIA’s Office of Regional and Political Analysis, an office of over 200 persons with experts on all nations, regions, and global problems of the world.
Statement:
"Powerful forces both in the United States and in some allied nations undoubtedly want a clash of civilizations with Islam. Some of these forces may have acted secretly before and during 9/11 -- and may still be working -- to create situations real or false to bring more warfare to the world while the United States retains its overwhelming global military superiority. After considerable study, I am quite certain that significant parts of the “official 9/11 story” put out by the U.S. government and the 9/11 Commission are false. It seems very possible to me that some unnamed persons or groups with ties to the U.S. government succeeded in creating a “Pearl Harbor” event to gain public support for the aggressive foreign policies that followed -- policies intended to “transform” the entire Middle East, strengthen the already close U.S. - Israeli partnership, and broaden the power of the American global empire. This is why we need an entirely new investigation, one perhaps under the auspices of the World Court (or at least one not dominated by the United States), to determine what actually happened on September 11, 2001."
Wayne Madsen
Bio:
Wayne Madsen has some twenty years experience in security issues. As a U.S. Naval Officer, he managed one of the first computer security programs for the U.S. Navy. He subsequently worked for the National Security Agency, the Naval Data Automation Command, Department of State, RCA Corporation, and Computer Sciences Corporation.
Wayne Madsen is now a Washington, DC-based investigative journalist, author and syndicated columnist. He has written for The Village Voice, The Progressive, Counterpunch, Online Journal, CorpWatch, Multinational Monitor, News Insider, In These Times, and The American Conservative. His columns have appeared in The Miami Herald, Houston Chronicle, Philadelphia Inquirer, Columbus Dispatch, Sacramento Bee, and Atlanta Journal-Constitution, among others. Madsen is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), Association for Intelligence Officers (AFIO), and the National Press Club.
Madsen is also the author of The Handbook of Personal Data Protection (London: Macmillan, 1992), an acclaimed reference book on international data protection law; Genocide and Covert Operations in Africa 1993-1999 (Edwin Mellen Press, 1999); co-author of America's Nightmare: The Presidency of George Bush II (Dandelion, 2003); author of Jaded Tasks: Big Oil, Black Ops & Brass Plates and Overthrow a Fascist Regime on $15 a Day.
He is a frequent political and national security commentator on Fox News and has also appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, and MS-NBC. Madsen has taken on Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity on their television shows. He has been invited to testifty as a witness before the US House of Representatives, the UN Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and an terrorism investigation panel of the French government.
Statement:
"As a former U.S. naval officer who was assigned to the National Security Agency (NSA) and having had worked as a temporary special agent for the FBI in a sensitive national security matter during the Cold War who now writes about national security matters as an investigative journalist, I have been approached by a number of current and former U.S. and foreign intelligence officers who have told me that what the Bush-Cheney administration reported about 9/11 was far from the truth. There is no doubt that the 9/11 Commission report was a fraudulent work containing huge distortions."
Terrell E Arnold
Bio:
In his diplomatic career of nearly 30 years, Terrell E. Arnold served as an analyst in the State Office of Intelligence and Research, in five diplomatic postings including Consul General, Sao Paulo, Brazil, as a Senior Inspector who evaluated the operations of 24 US diplomatic missions, as Principal Deputy Director of the State Office of Counterterrorism and as Chairman of the Department of International Studies of the National War College.
Statement:
In my view there are too many unanswered questions both about the individuals allegedly involved in the attacks and the physics of the damages. I am not satisfied with the pat Al Qaida answer, and I think the story of the gathering of the hijacker team reads a bit like Groucho Marx. Somehow we need to get across the point that persistent and bullying US meddling abroad has potential dire consequences only one example of which was 9/11.
Senator Mike Gravel
Senator Mike Gravel enlisted in the U.S. Army (1951-54) and served as the Adjutant in the Communications Intelligence Service in Germany and as a Special Agent in the Counter Intelligence Corps in France. He served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 1963-66; in his second term as Speaker of the House. He was then elected to two terms in the U.S. Senate, representing Alaska from 1969-81. Senator Gravel served on the Finance, Interior, and Environment and Public Works committees, chairing the Energy, Water Resources, Buildings and Grounds, and the Environmental Pollution subcommittees.
In 1971, as a freshman senator critical of the Vietnam War and of government secrecy, Mike Gravel used his position as a senator to release the “secret” Pentagon Papers. This publication occasioned litigation, U.S. v. Gravel, resulting in a landmark Supreme Court decision relative to the Speech and Debate Clause of the United States Constitution, establishing the precedent that members of Congress cannot be bound by the official secrets of any presidential administration. Senator Gravel also waged a successful lone filibuster for five months, effectively ending the military draft in the United States, and forced an end to the undersea testing of obsolete nuclear warheads in the earthquake-prone area of Amchitka Island, Alaska.
Senator Gravel was the founding president of The Democracy Foundation, Philadelphia II, and Direct Democracy––nonprofit corporations dedicated to the establishment of direct democracy in the United States through the enactment of a legislative proposal by American voters of a federal ballot initiative called the National Initiative. Senator Gravel also stood as a presidential candidate in the 2008 US elections. He now lectures and writes about governance, capitalism, foreign policy, taxation, energy, transportation, the environment, and democracy. He believes that there are discrepencies in the official account of 9/11 and calls for a new, independent enquiry.
Captain Eric H. May
Bio:
Captain Eric H. May served for over two decades in the U.S. Army, Army Reserves and the National Guard. As a military intelligence officer, he was a Russian-fluent expert on the Soviet military. He was also qualified as a WMD expert and public affairs officer. He spent his last five years of service with Houston's 75th Exercise Division as an Opposing Forces (OPFOR) specialist, later serving on the division's general staff. Afterwards he began a career as a ghost writer for NBC News, PBS and VIP clients. His essays have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, the Houston Chronicle and Military Intelligence Magazine. Since becoming a 9/11 truth activist, he has been widely published and interviewed by both mainstream and alternative media. He is the intelligence editor for The Lone Star Iconoclast, which last year called for a congressional investigation of his ability to predict market-changing petrochemical "accidents" in the Houston area.
Statement:
"Although I had been a lifelong Republican before the invasion of Iraq, White House coverups of major military events radicalized me. On Dec. 21, 2003 I published a website declaring myself to be on a mission of conscience against what I had determined was a criminal presidency. A couple of months I met an honorable Marine Corps officer who had witnessed 9/11 and its cover-up in New York City. Captain Jeff Cross caused me to re-examine my previous belief in the official conspiracy theory that Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda were the 9/11 perpetrators. I became a dedicated student of false flag terror and soon realized that 9/11 had certainly been carried out by the Bush administration to establish a domestic Homeland State and a foreign Global War, both of which were to be perpetuated, if need be, by a repeat false flag terror attack even worse than 9/11."
